We met on a rebuild that had gone badly wrong. Awais had been brought in to fix the front end; Umar had been brought in to redesign the parts the client had stopped believing in. Between us we salvaged it in six weeks, and along the way worked out that we were considerably better together than apart.

The studio began with two clients and a shared view of what a website is for. A website is not a brochure, a brand exercise or a tick-box. It is the part of the business that has to work at 11pm on a Sunday when someone is deciding whether to trust you with their money.

Since then we have shipped over forty projects, mostly for businesses between five and fifty people. We have deliberately stayed small, so we can be honest about scope, quote accurately, and take responsibility for the whole thing rather than a slice of it.
